Effective multidisciplinary working in MND

Posted in Course & Conference Previews on 21st Jul 2021

Free online course

Enrolment is now open for the MND Association’s successful online resource, which helps AHPs and trainee AHPs explore the key factors in the effective operation of a multidisciplinary team for the treatment and care of people living with MND.

The content is interesting, and the learning from it practical and easily applied in real life settings.

I have really enjoyed this course, it has been good to learn what others are doing and how it may differ from my own team.  I have gained insight and knowledge about best practice and will take this with me.

I will advocate this course to those teams/individuals in the hope that they will understand their roles as part of the wider multidisciplinary team.

The objectives of the training are

  • To raise awareness of the NICE guideline NG42 for MND and good multidisciplinary team practice
  • To increase practitioner confidence to operate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • To increase access to effective multidisciplinary care for people living with MND and their carers
  • To improve the quality of life for people living with MND and their carers

The next start dates for the course is 27th September. You can enrol here. If you need more information, please contact Jenny Bedford at Jennifer.bedford@mndassociation.org.
