Richard Davenport

Dr Richard Davenport qualified in medicine in 1987 from Nottingham University Medical School, achieving an Honours degree. After house appointments in Nottingham, he completed his general professional training in Stoke-on-Trent, where he also began his neurology training. He first came to Edinburgh in 1992 and was appointed consultant in 1999, following a year in Australia in 1997 as advanced neurological trainee. He is a full-time NHS consultant, undertaking general neurology clinics, as well as specialist clinics in movement disorders, 'First Seizures' and motor neurone disease. In addition to his NHS practice, he undertakes private clinics at Spire Murrayfield and Shawfair Park Hospitals.
