Venue: Entirely Online - via Zoom

Website: www.ucl.ac.uk

Event Notes:

The Queen Square MS Centre team have designed this two-day course as an Update, accessible to specialists and non-specialists (including trainees; GPs; allied healthcare professionals; and students).
An application is being submitted for the course to be eligible for 10 CPD credits from the Federation of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom.

Over the past few years there have been substantial changes in our understanding of and exciting developments in the management of multiple sclerosis (MS). Many clinicians will have contact with people with MS but, with increasing diagnostic and treatment complexities, MS management may be daunting or overwhelming for non-MS specialists. This course will cover key clinical issues that healthcare professionals seeing people with MS may encounter, and provide a framework and rationale for investigation and management of people who may have, or who have an established diagnosis of, MS.

Sessions will cover topics including: Clinically and radiologically isolated syndromes; Pathology of MS from a clinical perspective; Diagnosis and differential diagnosis of MS; Neuroimaging in MS; Pregnancy in MS; DMT escalation; Optic neuritis; Pain management.
