Nikos Evangelou

MD, Dphil

Nikos Evangelou, MD, Dphil, is a Professor of Neurology at the University of Nottingham and has been a Consultant Neurologist for 20 years with active clinical practice. He did his DPhil in Oxford and has continued his research on MS ever since. Nikos and his research group are based at the University of Nottingham and he is the Chief and Principle Investigator for a number of national and international clinical trials. He is the co-PI for DELIVER-MS, a trial exploring if high efficacy treatments offer any long-term advantage in treating MS, compared to the escalation approach. Active research interests with on-going projects include: the use of MRI in diagnosis and prognosis in MS, misdiagnosis and cognitive screening.
