Tom McMillan

MAppSc, PhD

Tom McMillan, MAppSc, PhD, is Professor Emeritus at the University of Glasgow. He qualified in clinical psychology in the early 1980s and then worked as a clinical academic in Health Trusts and Universities in London. He led the development of clinical neuropsychology training in the UK. He returned to Glasgow in 1999 and worked at the University of Glasgow and for NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde developing brain injury neurorehabilitation services in Scotland and assessing rehabilitation needs of people in acute hospitals throughout GGC. Throughout his career his main focus has been on people with head injury. He has more than 200 publications. In recent years he developed a programme of work on people with head injury in the criminal justice system in Scotland that includes research informed service development and training of staff.
