The 2026 ILAE British Branch Annual Scientific Conference will take place from 8th – 10th of October 2026 at the Harrogate Convention Centre. The conference is a leading professional educational event for healthcare professionals, researchers, and students working in epilepsy, and is open to both members and non-members of the ILAE British Branch.

Call For Abstracts
Abstract submissions are now open for the 2026 Annual Scientific Conference. Both members and non-members of the ILAE British Branch are welcome to submit abstracts.
Submission Deadline: Wednesday, 1 July 2026, 11:59 pm
Accepted abstracts will be published in the conference programme handbook.
Abstract Requirements
Maximum length: 400 words (excluding references)
Abstracts must be submitted under one of the following categories:
- General Abstracts
- Basic Science/ Neurobiology of Epilepsy Abstracts
Presentation and Poster Awards
The conference recognises outstanding research through a range of presentation and poster awards:
General Abstract Platform Presentations
- First Prize: £250
- Second Prize: £125
Basic Science/ Neurobiology of Epilepsy Platform Presentation
- First Prize: £500 (awarded by ERI)
- Second Prize: £300 (awarded by ILAE British Branch)
Guided Poster Tour Awards
- First Prize: £200
- Second Prize: £100
