2025 Interdisciplinary Management of Functional Neurological Disorder (FND)

This educational face-to-face course will provide an overview of up-to-date principles in the assessment and management of adults with functional neurological disorder (FND). Epworth Healthcare has operated a FND clinic and outpatient treatment service for the past 3 years, providing holistic interdisciplinary rehabilitation of people with FND. Learnings will be shared with attendees through a series of presentations delivered by various disciplines including Neuropsychiatry, Rehabilitation Medicine, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy and Dietetics. This course is open to all medical, nursing and allied health clinicians treating adults with FND.

Topics Covered:
Topics covered will include the history, pathophysiology and mechanisms of FND, evidence for rehabilitation and discipline-specific assessment and management. There will be case study panel discussion and time for Q and A, will particular emphasis on the importance of a multidisciplinary approach for the care of these patients.
