Event Notes:

Headway East London invite you to a full day Brain Injury Awareness Training.

With someone in the UK admitted to the hospital with a brain injury every 90 seconds, brain injury is a leading cause of disability. Join us for an interactive training day to develop an understanding the wide-ranging impacts of brain injury, skills to support people in any setting and for practical tools to improve both accessibility and inclusion across your organisation.

The training is developed and delivered by people with lived experience of brain injury. This brings a unique insight into what living with a brain injury is like day to day, covering the aspects of life that our lived experience experts have identified as crucial for professionals to understand.

Over the course of the day, we will cover our full range of training modules, with plenty of opportunities for discussion and Q&A with our lived experience experts.

Training topics covered:

Identity
Cognitive impacts of brain injury
Communication changes
Family
Relationships and sex
Work, vocation and education
