Headway Conference 2026

Following the success of the 2025 conference ‘Neuro plasticity in Action’ we are returning to run Headway UK’s second conference of recent years. This conference is specifically geared towards legal professionals, case management experts and specific neuro clinical experts. Last year the conference sold out, with over 400 places available.

We are returning to the same venue this year, delivering it in partnership with ABI Solutions. Reintegration in Action: Community, Family, and the Future of Brain Injury Care’.

This year’s conference will centre on Quality of Life and the vital role that being integrated back into the community has in achieving positive outcomes. Through a multidisciplinary lens, we will explore how professionals can work together to support better reintegration, as well as the factors that may jeopardise progress when rehabilitation approaches are not sufficiently person‑centred or when communication between services breaks down.

We also plan to critically examine the use of technology in rehabilitation, considering when it can be beneficial and when it may be less suitable depending on individual needs. Additionally, we will include the perspective of a social worker to highlight the processes and challenges involved in community reintegration. We will also have a barrister’s contribution to review this through a legal lens.

We will also include a closing panel discussion with all the speakers and featuring two brain injury survivors and one family member, offering real‑world reflections on the day’s themes and highlighting how we can continue to improve our approach.
