Headway London Annual Conference: Together We Can: Where Lived Experience and Evidence Shape Action.

Venue: The Art House, 30-36 Pritchards Road Bethnal Green, London, E2 9AP

Website: www.headwaylondon.org

Event Notes:

At a time when conversations about health, social care and community support are higher on the political agenda than ever, this year’s conference couldn’t be more timely. On the day, we’ll bring together brain injury survivors, families, practitioners, researchers, advocates and decision-makers for a day of mutual discussion, learning and action.

Co-produced, chaired and delivered by brain injury survivors, Together We Can explores what becomes possible when people with different experiences, perspectives and expertise come together around a shared goal: improving outcomes for people affected by brain injury.

The programme will explore the issues that matter most, including:

🔹 Brain injury-informed social work with Dr Caroline Bald, The Open University
🔹 Personality and identity after brain injury with Professor Vaughan Bell, UCL
🔹 Family support, advocacy and case management with Professor Alyson Norman,
🔹 Early intervention and support after discharge with the neurosurgical team at the Royal London Hospital

Expect thought-provoking discussions, real-world insight, new connections, great food and fresh perspectives.

Whether you’re working in health or social care, conducting research or helping to shape policy, this is an opportunity to learn from one another and be part of the conversation.
