Event Notes:

In recent decades, neurotechnology has progressed at an unprecedented pace, creating opportunities that extend beyond the medical field into areas such as entertainment, marketing, and law. These rapid developments have triggered global debates on how to ensure that neurotechnological innovations are implemented ethically and responsibly. Yet, most international frameworks shaping these discussions reflect the priorities and socio-cultural realities of the Global North, often neglecting the diverse cultural, political, and economic contexts that influence research and application in other regions. In this context, the First Latin American Meeting on Responsible Neurotechnology seeks to provide a multidisciplinary platform for dialogue and collaboration. The event will address the challenges posed by the fast and frequently unsupervised growth of neurotechnology, fostering perspectives that are inclusive and regionally relevant. We aim to promote ethical standards and shared strategies that respect diversity while advancing innovation responsibly.
