Stroke and Neurology Conference

Event Notes:

The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow will host the Stroke and Neurology Conference for the Generalist on Friday 27 February 2026. This one day hybrid conference is designed for generalist clinicians with an interest in stroke and neurology and will bring together expert speakers to share the latest clinical updates, practical insights and emerging approaches in diagnosis, treatment and care.

The programme will cover a range of topics including stroke, stroke mimics, movement disorders and epilepsy. Sessions will focus on translating current evidence into day to day practice and supporting clinicians to manage complex neurological presentations with confidence. The conference offers an opportunity to learn from leading specialists while engaging with peers across different settings.

A poster competition will run alongside the conference, with entries invited from trainees. Selected submissions will be presented as part of the event, with the winning poster announced at the end of the day. All other accepted abstracts will be included in a digital showcase. The deadline for abstract submissions is 30 January 2026 and full guidance is available on the event webpage.

Scottish trainees may also be eligible to attend the conference through the national block grant scheme, which allows access to multiple specialist conferences for a single study leave payment. Further details on eligibility and application are available online.
