2023 MDF Annual Conference

Myotonic Dystrophy Foundation (MDF) is hosting the 2023 MDF Annual Conference – sometimes called the “DM family reunion” from the 7th -9th of September in Washington DC.  The conference will start with MDF Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill on Thursday, September 7th, where there will be the opportunity to meet with Members of Congress and their staff to advocate for myotonic dystrophy research funding and awareness. Conference sessions will begin on Friday, September 8th, and continue until Saturday, September 9th, 2023, at the Renaissance Washington, DC Downtown Hotel.

For those arriving early, there is a Welcome Reception & Advocacy Awards Presentation on Thursday evening where Senators Tim Kaine (D-VA) and Cynthia Lummis (R-WY) and their staff will be recognised for their friendship and support of the myotonic dystrophy community.

This year’s program includes educational sessions exploring research, drug development, symptom management, and other critical topics for DM families, plus opportunities for formal and informal networking, wellness, and fun.
