Ríona Mc Ardle

PhD

Ríona Mc Ardle is a NIHR Advanced Fellow at Newcastle University. Her background is in applied neuropsychology. She is interested in applying digital solutions to improve how we diagnose and care for people with different types of dementia. Her primary research focus to date has been assessing the potential of gait as a diagnostic marker for dementia subtypes. Alongside her research roles, she is Head of Content, Policy and Research for the World Young Leaders in Dementia Network, and North Regional Co-lead for the DEMON Network.
