Who is this course for?

This course is designed for consultants, experienced Parkinson’s nurses, final year registrars, final year old age psychiatry registrars, GPwERs, experienced neurosciences pharmacists, associate specialists, staff grade physicians, old age psychiatrists, occupational therapists and speech and language therapists.

What will the course involve?
The course will advance understanding of Parkinson’s disease and related movement disorders through taught sessions and mentorship (a mentor will be appointed for each participant where applicable).

How is the course taught?

The course is taught through a range of learner-centred methods including formal lectures, interactive workshops, and projects. Additional seminars and learning opportunities will be undertaken more locally with your mentor and through distance learning.Learners must complete a workplace service place audit during the six month break, before returning to Module 2 to present their findings.

Module 2: 26 & 27 November 2024
To complete the course delegates must return for Module 2 where they will present their inter-module project/audit to the Academy.
