Event Notes:

The Upper Limb Stroke Rehabilitation Summer School will be held in Leuven (Belgium) from Wednesday 13 to Friday 15 September 2023.

The Summer School is a joint initiative between KU Leuven and Université Catholique de Louvain, and we are delighted to offer you an exciting three-day program of plenary presentations and parallel sessions. Experts in the domains of upper limb measurement, dose & intensity, implementation and neurophysiology and -psychology will deliver keynote and invited lectures and provide insight in their research and clinical domains. Currently confirmed speakers include renowned scientists from Australia, UK and Sweden, but more will follow.

The Summer School is aimed at early-stage (PhD and Post-Doc) researchers as well as senior therapists and scientists in the field of motor rehabilitation after stroke. Besides plenary lectures, participants will have the opportunity to tailor their Summer School by choosing from four parallel sessions focusing on specific research methodology and findings, clinical workshop, and how-to seminars. A national and international faculty will deliver these up-to-date seminars. Besides the plenary and parallel sessions, participants will have the opportunity to present their research through interactive poster presentations.

This Summer School will take place in the beautiful and vibrant city of Leuven, home to one of the oldest universities of Europe and a city with attractive historic buildings. Leuven is conveniently located in the heart of Belgium, has a direct and short train connection with Brussels international airport, and excellent connections to all other major cities and sightseeing locations in Belgium and our neighbouring countries.
