Karen Steel

Professor Karen P Steel is Professor of Sensory Function at King’s College London and Honorary Faculty member of the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute, Hinxton, UK. Her research interests focus on the use of mouse mutants as tools to understand the mechanisms underlying hearing impairment. She has over 200 primary research and review publications and was recently jointly awarded the Grete Lundbeck Foundation’s Brain Prize.
