Kerala L Adams-Carr is a Core Medical Trainee at University College London Hospital and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. She graduated from the University of Cambridge with a first-class degree, and University College London (UCL) with distinction. Her interest in neurology began with a research project at the John van Geest Centre for Brain Repair, where she investigated the role of reactive astrocytes in promoting neuronal survival and synaptic plasticity after injury. Since then she has assisted Alastair Noyce with his study ‘PREDICT-PD’, which aims to identify individuals at high risk of developing Parkinson’s disease. She is also involved in medical education, having completed a Postgraduate Certificate at the Royal College of Physicians and UCL while working as a clinical teaching fellow at Charing Cross Hospital.
