UK MS Register Data Academy

Venue: MS Society Offices, near Finsbury Park, London

Website: www.ukmsregister.org

Event Notes:

MS research can require skills in analysing big health care data. To get the most out of your data you need to make sure you are using the latest tools and techniques in manipulation and analysis.

The UK MS Register team at Swansea University are offering the chance to learn how to use one of these tools (‘R’) on synthetic data from the MS Register datasets (clinical and self-reported).

Who should take part in this course?

Health researchers with very little to no experience in the analysis of population health data, and a keen interest in developing the skills necessary to do so. For example:

  • Early Career Researchers with a background in medicine, research, or informatics.
  • Individuals working in academia, the NHS, or Medical research charities.
  • Those who know SPSS but would like to learn R (something different and free to access).
  • Anyone wishing to learn about the tools and techniques in analysing big health care data.
